Pre-arrival Information
We look forward to welcoming you to the English Australia Conference from 11 to 13 September in Perth, Australia.
Make the most of your conference experience by reviewing the pre-arrival information below.
Registration and Information Desk
The Registration desk will be located on the Convention Floor in Foyer 3 of the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth and will operate during the times listed below:
- Wednesday 11 September: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Thursday 12 September: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Friday 13 September: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
On arrival at the venue, you will be able to print your name badge by scanning the QR Code below at one of our self check-in kiosks (this QR code can also be accessed from the conference app).
Delegates are required to wear their name badge at all times. Uniformed security will be in position at the doors of the exhibition area. Delegates without a name badge will not be able to access the exhibition area.
Smart Phone App
To download the conference app please follow the below steps:
- Download and install the ‘Cvent Events’ app.
- Open the app, then search for English Australia Conference 2024 and tap the download icon.
- Log in to the conference. Enter your details and use the email address you registered with.
- Enter your verification code which will be sent to your via SMS and email.
Wi-Fi
To access Pan Pacific wireless internet, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Ensure your wireless-enabled device is turned on and you have enabled the wireless switch/button.
- Open your wireless connection list.
- Wi-Fi network: Meet@PanPacific
- Enter the password: PanPacific22
Program
Pocket program
You will receive a small-sized pocket program upon arrival after registration. The program will include a list of all the sessions and activities planned for EAC, venue and exhibition floor plans.

Getting to and around Perth
The conference will be held at the Pan Pacific Perth,207 Adelaide Terrace, Perth WA.

Speaker information
Speakers’ Preparation Room
You are required to check in at the Speakers Preparation Room as soon as you arrive at the conference.
If you are using a PowerPoint or Prezi, your presentation must be uploaded and networked at least two hours before your session. This will ensure your presentation can be opened and loaded onto the conference computer system and networked appropriately.
Please bring your PowerPoint file on a memory stick or portable hard drive, and ensure you have a backup with you.
A technician will be available during the following times to check that your PowerPoint has been correctly received, uploaded and networked.

Wednesday 11 September: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Dress code
The dress code for delegates is smart casual/business throughout the conference. Don’t forget to bring a light jacket with you as the air-conditioned session rooms can sometimes get a bit cool.
Cloakroom
There are limited cloak room facilities at the conference venue. It is recommended that guests leave their luggage at their hotel.
Dietary requirements
Food will be available separately for delegates who have requested special dietary requirements in their registration. A separate serving station will be available for you to collect your meal. At the Conference dinner on Thursday, please advise the wait staff of your requirements.
Water Bottles
Conferences can create large amounts of waste however by offering water stations instead of plastic bottled water we can reduce landfill waste, save energy, and enjoy the most sustainable option for our environment. We encourage all delegates to bring their own water bottles to use throughout the conference.
Industry Exhibitors
The EA Conference would not be possible without the support and investment of the sponsors and exhibitors. Please take the time to visit the industry exhibitors in the exhibition hall from Wednesday – Friday.
Social events
Entrance to the evening social events (Breakfasts, Welcome Reception and Conference Gala Dinner) is by name badge, so please remember to bring it with you.
